»32 Hektar« (32 hectare) was an exhibition for the 850th birthday of the city of Munich in 2008. Part of the exhibit was a video installation we designed and implemented in the darkened
multi-story parking garage at Angerhof am Jakobsplatz. We projected five simultaneous and repeating visual portraits of succinct personalities from the Angerviertel, the 32 hectare heart
of the city, onto vast empty spaces.
Using transparent screens and strategically placed loudspeakers, we created an audio-visual experience that exemplified the liveliness and diversity of the neighborhood. In addition, audience members were invited to sit down on lounge-like seating islands and were able to absorb the individual portraits. All five portraits are shown here as separate films.
